Self-supporting Treads with Toe Flange for Steel Stairs construction with plate riser.
This tread is designed for bolting to carrier angles – also for bolting through nosing and toe flange to flat-type plate holes risers. Holes in nosing flanges 9/32″ for 1/4″ countersunk flat-heat bolts. The recommended minimum thickness should be followed: for iron – 7/16″ for aluminum – 3/8″. Ribs provided if necessary.

These self-supporting treads are designed with integrally cast end lugs for bolting directly to steel stringers. They are furnished with integral truss ribs according to the span. Holes are 9/16″ for 1/2″ bolts. On aluminum treads, electrolytic action is virtually eliminated by zinc-chromate coating on ends.

Ladder Rungs (& Treads)
Step of ladder rung not only has corundum abrasive grain embedded in its wearing surface, but it is serrated.
It provides excellent non-slip safety. Readily bolted to metal or wood stringers.
