Self-supporting Treads with Toe Flange for Steel Stairs construction with plate riser.
This tread is designed for bolting to carrier angles – also for bolting through nosing and toe flange to flat-type plate holes risers. Holes in nosing flanges 9/32″ for 1/4″ countersunk flat-heat bolts. The recommended minimum thickness should be followed: for aluminum – 3/8″. Ribs provided if necessary.

Treads without toe flange
These self-supporting treads are designed with integrally cast end lugs for bolting directly to steel stringers. They are furnished with integral truss ribs according to the span. Holes are 9/16″ for 1/2″ bolts. On aluminum treads, electrolytic action is virtually eliminated by zinc-chromate coating on ends.
Treads with Toe Flange
These self-supporting treads are designed with integrally cast toe flange full 1″ high. Designed for positive elimination of accumulating moisture. They also have integrally cast end lugs for bolting directly to steel stringers. They are furnished with integral truss risers according to the span. Hoses are 9/16″ for 1/2″ bolts. On aluminum treads, electrolytic action is virtually eliminated by zinc-chromate coating on ends.
Ladder Rungs (& Treads)
Step of ladder rung not only has corundum abrasive grain embedded in its wearing surface, but it is serrated.
It provides excellent non-slip safety. Readily bolted to metal or wood stringers.
